Today we headed up the mountain to Silver Star. We went through registration. All very well organized. Many people from many nations were there. Then a short ski was in order.

The trails are in great shape. We kept it to a short 10km due to the altitude difference with Ottawa, (although Erik and I took a wrong turn and did 12). Still the shortest ski of the year for me - it just seems wrong to be off work and not put in the big distances. The longer skiing will happen next week.
Now we are relaxing at the house. Some shopping was done and skis are being waxed. However there was time to sit in the sun and sip on an little BC wine.
