Everyone Sprint Now!

Flags of the world on the chalet
Today was the short distance races for both the classic and skate styles. Everyone in the house had a race today.

The distance was 10 km. This is the short drag race distance of XC skiing. Totally different from long distance racing. It is short, but if done correctly it hurts. A good hurt though. We all finished one after the other so pictures were a group affair.

Here are some more sites of the World Cup Masters:

(be very careful what gets applied to your skis!)

Lots of nice new skis!

Parham and I were walking around. He was wearing his Nakkertok jacket. As the Nakkertok club's web site will tell you, it is an Inuit word that means "moving quickly over snow". These guys came up to him pointing at his jacket, saying nakkertok and smiling. As it turns out they were from Greenland and speak a version Inuit. Their friend spoke English and explained all to Parham. Very nice guys. Parham is determined to do the Arctic Circle Race some year and now has some contacts.
