Race prep begins

Today is the last day before the first race and the race prep has begun in earnest.

Petr our coach and wax technician spent the day testing waxing, testing, and re-waxing to determine the correct wax combination for us to use tomorrow.




Head coach Natalya attended the coaches meeting while the rest of us skied over various parts of the course that we will be racing.... and it is another beautiful ski day!

There are many more people on the trails today and you can hear many languages being spoken as more of the 1100 skiers arrive.

The altitude is still having its effects and five of us have races tomorrow as so no one went that hard or long today.

This evening is the opening ceremonies. They are being attended by those not racing tomorrow. Meanwhile back at the house the gas-masks have been broken out as the application fluorocarbon waxes begins.
